SANDRA NAGEL’S CAPETOWN PHOTOJOURNAL

On Going Home

It was the longest time I had spent away from home. Going back made me celebrate the small things—appreciating the light, the colors, the nature, and the sounds of home was almost therapeutic. Here’s a glimpse into my time spent being back in my special place. There's something really beautiful about the energy in Cape Town

Hiked up Table Mountain, the India Venster Route with my family. Was so beautiful to see Cape Town from above

View from Clarence Drive - one of the best scenic drives in the Western Cape in my opinion.

Clifton 3.5 - Clifton Beach is probably the most popular beach in Cape Town, I personally love Clifton 3.5, in between Clifton 4th and Clifton 3rd - It makes the perfect place to swim and reset, away from the bigger crowds.

Table Mountain from the cable car view. After hiking up the India Venster route, we took the breeeezy cable car down

BTS for a shoot with @______whitney____ and @mattejacobs, shot just off Llandudno Beach. We had a really wholesome shoot and ended up swimming at Camps Bay Tidal Pool afterwards.

Hidden Gem near where my grandmother lives - Bikini Beach Books, they have an insane book collection with really great prices.

Had sundowners with some friends just off Sandy Bay

Early morning view from India Venster of the twelve apostles looking over the Atlantic

Koel Bay, on the way to caves, one of the most special beaches. Make sure to time the tides because you might get stuck hahah

View of Llandudno beach from the lookout point. Staring into the distance at the ocean never gets old. Almost meditative

Catch-ups with @carleyadonis on the beach, watching the sunset

View from Blue Cafe looking over Table Mountain in the morning. Blue Cafe was a staple with @indiatyers, sitting on the chairs outside with an Ice-Coffee and sharing a chicken mayo sarmie whilst taking in the sunshine and laughing our heads off. Miss that a lot.

Some beautiful orange plants I saw whilst listening to music and driving

More from the India Venster Hike, definitely not the easiest hike but really worth the views

Last Sunset of the year at Search Festival. Really special to start 2024 whilst dancing to one of my favoruite DJ’s (@k.dollahz) and then spending the first day swimming in the river and lying in the sun. Was so good to be camping again.
